Reports are coming out that the 2012 Winter Classic will be played in Philadelphia with the Flyers taking on the New York Rangers at Citizens’s Bank Park. according to the Boston Herald, the Flyers will be the fifth city to host the annual New Year’s Day hockey game. According to sources the Winter Classic will be hosted at Citizen’s Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. This is going to be a very popular game and Winter Classic tickets are going to be a very popular item in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Flyers vs Rangers Winter Classic game is going to be a big deal so if you can get tickets for the game you'll see a good time

There were talks of hosting the game at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles, however the Eagles are scheduled to to play the Redskins. Citizens Bank Park capacity is 43,647, almost double the capacity of Well Fargo Arena. This is always the biggest regular hockey game of the year, but there is a catch for the 2012 Winter Classic incarnation. There is speculation that the 2012 Winter Classic will take place on January 2, rather than the traditional New Year’s Day game because the Eagles are schedule to play the Washington Redskins that day. You can check out the Winter Classic at CBP with tickets available right here. The Flyers were able to reach the Stanley Cup last year, however were beaten by the Bruins in the playoffs.

Reports are that Philadelphia beat out New York for the privilege of hosting the Winter Classic. According to the Wall Street Journal, NHL officials toured Citi Field while they were considering host locations for the big game. In 2010 the Flyers played in the Winter Classic in Boston, loosing 2-1 in overtime. The 2011 Winter Classic was the highest-rated regular season NHL game in 36 years. Previously the Winter Classic was played in Buffalo’s Ralph Wilson Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field.

A recent story from ABC News reports that the NHL is strongly considering a 2011 Winter Classic matchup Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals with the Pittsburgh Steeler’s Heinz Field the host for the annual contest. The Winter Classic has become one of the most talked-about events in sports, and the Winter Classic venue is a source of much speculation heading into each year. Pittsburgh is well known for its sports fans, and you can expect a Winter Classic at Heinz Field would be quite popular. Fans would go nuts for a chance to buy Penguins Winter Classic tickets on New Year’s. With the rivalry between Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby continues to grow in intensity, so it makes sense for the NHL to try and capitalize on the rivalry. So for now we suggest you get some NHL playoff tickets to see some hockey before it’s all over.

The NHL will likely not reveal the 2011 Winter Classic venue until the Stanley Cup is completed. And while there is a lot pointing in the direction of a Winter Classic at Heinz Field, its not the only place mentioned. In fact there has been some talk of expanding the Winter Classic to include two games, one in the United States and another in Canada. So it is quite possible that there will be two Winter Classics in the future. In fact there was some talk following the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park that the Calgary Flames were close to hosting a second Winter Classic at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. Stay tuned to Winter Classic tickets for the latest news on the 2011 Winter Classic.

The first-ever Winter Classic was played by the Buffalo Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium and featured the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins. The second event was held at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, while the third installment took place at Boston’s Fenway Park, which normally sells Boston Red Sox tickets during the summer. Whether Heinz Field ends up hosting the 2011 Winter Classic is still to be seen, however you can bet that no matter where its held, Winter Classic tickets are going to be in high demand.

An unconfirmed report from ESPN claims that the NHL is planning on expanding the popular Winter Classic game to include two games. The first 2010 Winter Classic Game is widely assumed to be the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park, although nothing official has come out. The Washington Capitals are the suspected opponent for the Bruins. If its true then that means there is going to be a lot of fans looking for Winter Classic tickets. There has been a ton of interest in Fenway Winter Classic tickets, and once the news become official expect even more fans looking for a way in.

<img title="McMahon Stadium" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3043/2861456391_69650b7791.jpg?v=0" alt="ESPN has said there are rumors of a second Winter Classic game featuring the Calgary Flames at McMahon Stadium. If that is the case its going to be a big Winter Classic ticket indeed!

But now, ESPN reports that for the first time there will be a second Winter Classic reportedly hosted by the Calgary Flames at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. ESPN reports that no opponents has been chosen but it would likely be one of the other Canadian hockey teams, likely the Vancouver Canucks or Edmonton Oilers. So while you can’t buy Winter Classic Calgary tickets quite yet, be sure to keep an eye on this site for all the latest.

With no official announcement about a double header for the 2010 Winter Classic, it would be pretty cool. Who knows, maybe one day all NHL teams will play outdoors on New Years Day.

While an official announcement hasn’t been made, among the worst kept secrets in the NHL right now is that Boston’s Fenway Park will be hosting the 2010 Winter Classic, the annual hockey game played in an outside arena on New Years Day. Since the first Winter Classic was held in 2008 in Buffalo, the game has become the biggest regular-season game this side of the NHL All-Star Game. Fans start looking at Winter Classic tickets as soon as they go on sale, sometimes even before. Now with a venue as historic as Fenway, you are definitely going to see quite a few people looking for 2010 Fenway Park Winter Classic tickets because the game should be one for the ages. The Boston Bruins enjoy one of hockey’s most dedicated fan bases, so you know there will be plenty of support in the New England Area.

You can expect 2010 Winter Classic tickets to sell out very quickly, so you should get yours as soon as you can. While the match-up hasn’t been announced, don’t be surprised if its a long-time Bruins rival, as the past two Winter Classics have matched up historic rivals. You know the Bruins Canadiens Winter Classic tickets would be the hottest ticket of the year, so do not be surprised if that is the team the Bruins end up hosting in the 2010 Winter Classic. If not the Habs, then you’ve gotta expect that the Rangers would be the opponent. While the Bruins Rangers rivalry doesn’t run as deep as the Bruins Canadiens, the Boston New York matchup will be tough for sponsors to say no too. Especially with the Rangers played respectably as of late.

Whoever the Bruins play in the Fenway Park 2010 Winter Classic, you know that it is going to be a great game. Make sure that if you are a fan you’ve got your Fenway Park Winter Classic tickets ready to go because you do not want to be left out in the cold. Buy Winter Classic tickets at Fenway as soon as you can. While Fenway Park Winter Classic tickets are not yet on sale, in fact the game hasn’t been announced yet, be sure to stay tuned to Winter Classic tickets for any news. And once tickets do go on sale, the best place to buy Winter Classic tickets, in fact any NHL ticket, is Ticket Liquidator. They have some of the best tickets to choose from and their prices are lower than their competition. You know that the 2010 Winter Classic is going to be huge, so make sure you’ve got your Winter Classic tickets ready to go when the time comes.
